Bill...I saw this and checked out the website. Great music but I agree....damn that's expensive. Please post what you actually find when you get there and have time to check it out. Been to MB at least 12-14 times for bike week. Yes is has changed for sure. Last time was 2 years ago and they did have "throttle fest" at house of blues....is that no longer? That Swampfox website doesn't give enough info or decent pricing to get me there yet for sure. Seems way pricey too. Please keep posted it on how you like it.
No doubt it is expensive and I also have never paid to be at a bike rally or a show at a bike rally (but I did spend a boat load of $$$ last year in Sturgis).
The wife really wanted to see Bret Michaels so I said what the heck. If its a total waste then it will be an expensive lesson learned.
I also agree that MBBW has picked up over the last couple years but ever since they moved everything away from Broadway and the strip it's just kinda lost it's appeal to me. The Beaver bar and SBB are still good places to party though.
I'll report back afterwards and let ya'll know how good or bad it was.
Yes Bill , I do remember when MBBW was fun to attend , plenty of riding tons to do .Being familiar with the area ,taking back roads , etc. the last few years we attended ,we got the finger a lot by motorists and looks to why are u on this road. I think the Vendors realized what they lost and the town as far as $$$$ but the other bike week put a nasty taste in every ones mouth .
There was a 'bike rally' in Sarasota FL in January that charged about $100 for weekend tickets. I suspect this rally is also cashing in on people with money to buy a brand new Harley that don't like 'biker bars'. Can't fault them for trying to make a few bucks but I suspect it won't be long lived...
