I have 2, I'll sell you one of mine for $20 with all the attachments. I forgot I had one and bought another 😢 mine is the tender jr I believe. I can send pics if interested.
My question is how do you know if battery Tender is working correctly ?
I have three Battery tender Jrs and one Harley same thing only black and orange.
I can plug each one into the same bike and get different reactions from all 4 tenders.
Some go instant green light
some flash red for 1/2 hour then green
some go red and then green in a few minutes.
All on same bike. When checking each tender one after another.
I have used 2 Deltran BT Jrs (.75amp), a Schumacher Tender (1amp) and have moved to a CTEK x2. When I used the BT Jrs, I would plug them in and eventually the little light would turn green and stay there. To make sure they were really still fully charged, I would unplug them and replug to check. Most of the time it took a while for them to really reach a full charge again and they never would do it on their own.
With the CTEK units I now use, they cycle the charging on and off as the security system uses the battery for power. No more checking to see if the battery is really fully charged.
Yes they were a little more money than the Deltrans but they will charge a car battery up and even has a mode for batteries in a cold, less than 41°, environment. They will charge at .08 amps to 3.3 amps.
