Anyone know a good EFI tuner that is familiar with the thundermax, autotune EFI setup in N.Virginia. I literally spent hours trying to tune my Thundermax with little success.I downloaded the correct map. went for a short ride. The tach was reving out to about 4 grand. Had to upshift to get the RPM'S down. I had surging, Intake popping-exhaust popping. I would stop and had uneven RPM's and then the bike would die. I continued to tweek as much as I could and got it to where it was managable for a 100 mile ride. It rode alittle better, still have throttle surging uneven RPM'S. I have troubleshooted just about everything through my laptop. Will be calling Zippers sometime today. This is the first aftermarket EFI system that i had that made the bike run like **** !!
If you want to go about 60 miles from your area I know a dam good tuner. I would consider him the top guy in this area. Call 540-723-0351, ask for Scott & tell him what you need done. The shop is called Skip's Speed & Custom......> www.skipscycles.com
They are in Winchester, Va., right behind the H-D dealer off Rt. 50.
They do all my work and about 10 of my riding buddies scoots to.....you will not be disappointed.
Met two guys at the Fairfax Va Law ride Saturday who have a shop in Chantilly look them up, Fast Lane Cycles. Had a few of their bikes there that were turning incredible #'s.
Dont know if they have a website but these guys can tune anything. Harley dealers in the area send stuff to them that they can't do in house. That certainly speaks volumes to their ability. Glad to be of help
