This is simple problem, with a simple solution.
Take a bottle of beer out of the fridge. Drink the beer. Place the empty bottle on the floor and spin it. Go in that direction.
Don't plan..... just pick a direction.

you seem to be set on the sisters ..and you will not be disappointed. I'm right here in San Antonio they're in my backyard .Been there several times never disappointed.. Just pay attention to the recommended miles per hour on the turns... I can usually double those stupid warnings on normal roads not these.. you'll wind up in the other lane and planted in somebody's cowgrill ...very tight curves very little margin for error ...also if your looking for somewhere to lay your head I suggest Garner State Park...fairly close and a pretty good site to.
If you do come for CFB, find me... fat bald guy on black and orange bike.....

We ended up going to Carlsbad, NM so we could see the caverns. This was more about going somewhere that we have not been than it was about the ride as we normally do about 30K a year anyways just out and about.
We left Friday afternoon around 4:30 and rolled in to the hotel around 1030 local time. Weather was a bit chilly for the three days of riding but overall a good trip. We took 180 out of Weatherford all the way there. I could have fallen asleep and stayed straight for the whole ride out and is a pretty boring ride. On the way back, we crossed over in to Texas and then headed down to 20 for the 230 miles back home.
On the way out, I was out in the middle of nowhere and felt something hitting me in my left boot. I looked down and realized my shifter was flopping around. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/new-r...ot-happen.html I'm lucky that I didn't loose the whole assembly or I would have been stuck. I managed to coast in to a gas station and connect it back up. The funny thing was that the bolt was still installed and tight (I've tightened that one before). I guess the bolt really does not have to come out in order to slide the shaft out. I put it back on and used a couple zip ties to keep it all together.
All in all, a good trip and it really is a big hole! Weather really wasn't up for a whole bunch of riding and walking the caverns wore us out.
