I recently purchased a 2007 Road Glide after previously owning a 2000 Heritage Softail. This bike is not a comfortable two up ride. The passenger recieves a tremendous amount of wind turbulence. I love everything about the bike except the lack of fairing protection for the passenger. So much so, that my passenger wants the Heritage back. I am hoping there is someone out there that may have the same problem and would have suggestions for a cure. So far the only suggestion is to buy an Ultra. Thanks.
The fork leg deflectors eliminate some of the turbulence, the pass seat height is the same between an ultra and a roadie, that alone wouldn't be different. I'm sure there'll be some posts with suggestions.
Went from a RK to the RG and ride 2-up 70% of the time - Wife says that she has less wind then before on the King???
She gets MORE with the smaller windshield then the Stock one (yea (LOL))... Clearview would be a good thing for you to look at as they have some GREAT Reviews here & Other HD\RG Sites
Taller windshield and front lower fairings ='s less wind, by a lot!!! Also, Wild Chubby's model# WO517 will sit you straight up instead of hunched over (Like a F-ing Camel looking for water) therefore, your body sitting straight up will block out more wind for her -
Unless she's an Amazon - LOL ... [sm=drooldude.gif]
Same complaint when we switched from 02 electraglide to 06 roadglide. Have tried taller Clearview and 517's. didn't make much difference. (I would give you a deal on both lol) I may try the fairing lowers but the $600.00 plus is slowing me down a little.

Roadglide has a total different seat, passenger seating is smaller and sits lower also driver is farther back. Taller windshield might help, another thing that might help is to not wear a helmet with any kind of visor.

So you have the Chubby's on your bike now and your willing to take them off and sell them - You don't like them? Not sure I understand what your saying - Did you get rid of the bike and have something different now? Really, the only difference between an E-Glide and RG would be the lower fairings and taller windshield....
My theory is that the RG has a big fairing and windshield that protects the rider well but then the "pocket" collapses on top of the passenger. Not sure if taller windshields will help much.
The fairing and windshield needs to be back further on the bike but there is no way to correct that.Lower fairings may help but to me the RG already has a lot less turbulence coming up from the bottom of the fairing than otherbaggers.
I would suggest earplugs and either a full face helmet or 3/4 with face shield to cut down on the noise and turbulence..
