I have the iPod interface on my 2012 SG with an old iPod Nano in the saddlebag. What settings is everyone using on their iTunes and iPod? I am having some songs play a LOT quieter than others. I have an extensive music library that i have ripped from CD's and downloaded from iTunes.

My Iphone eq stays on the "off" setting, all my eq adjustments are made at the radio.
The stock HK radio has a very limited EQ. I have Hawg Wired 400 watt amp and 6.5" speakers.
Not the cheapest route but the stock HK is horrible if your looking for quality sound, pull it and go aftermarket if you really want to be able to tune your music.

i keep my eq flat on my ipod as well.
one thing to make sure is that you have 'sound check' on on your itunes and your ipod. it helps to normalize the volume level some. while not totally exact, its much better than without.

I use a program called MP3Gain. I set it to 99db, and run my entire playlist through it. http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/download.php It does a pretty good job of equalizing volumes.

It works on regular MP3s. For example, MP3s downloaded from other sources like Amazon, or converted from CDs. So if you want to use it with iTunes, you need to do a regular download, set the gain, then put them in your library.
