As far as building his own? I do my own work too, except for the tune, but if I were going to go up in a big build,
I'd probably let someone who has the big motor experience do the work.. just to be sure.
A CVO with all the upgrades that guy did don't make it to the nice add on, compared to boat stuff. Guy like that does a once in a lifetime (probably) buy like that, I'd love to go riding with him sometime.

As far as my mods, I did everything myself and bought a lot of parts used on line and from other forum members at great savings but yes, I still got a few bucks wrapped up in my bike. At my age, getting from point A to point B in the quickest time possible does not matter. Now that upgraded torque number is another matter.......
