Okay. Terry and I met Lee and looked the bike over. I sent you several texts to your cell phone with pictures. Waiting to hear from you that you got them.
The bike is really nice. A little dusty and has some bug splatters on it, but nothing that can't be cleaned easily. There are no leaks anywhere we looked. No spilled fluids on the motor or the floor of the garage. No scratches that I could see, especially none on the crash bars. So it apparently hasn't been down. Also, there were no chewed up spots on the bottom of the foot boards as if it had been ridden hard and scraped. It has LED lights on the front (including the turn signals). It has the vivid black painted inner fairing. It even has a feature on the inner fairing, a slot you can slide your IPhone into and connect simply by doing that. It has all the features a Limited would have. It even has blue led accent lights throughout the bike (most of which are invisible to the eye until turned on). It has the manuals, and a boom audio manual. They are in a pouch mounted in the trunk. It has two keys with security fobs. He thinks one of the batteries in the fobs is going bad, but I'm not so sure. He mentioned that because after he started it and then turned it off, the four way flashers were still going. After a couple of minutes, I reached up and pressed the activation switch for the hazards and they went off. So I think he just keeps hitting the button by accident. It is on a battery tender. It fired right up and purred like a kitten. I did not ride it. And he did not ride it. But with the condition this bike is in, I seriously doubt there are any issues with it as far as rideability.
If you don't get the pics I sent, let me know and I will figure out how to transfer them from my phone to the computer so I can upload them and email them to you.
One other thing. He knows you're a bit nervous buying a bike sight unseen. He has a very nice, enclosed, motorcycle trailer with a locking wheel chock installed that he is willing to sell also if you should want to drive up here, look it all over for yourself, then tow the bike home. He wants $21,500 for the bike, and a package deal for the bike and the trailer is $25,000. I think it's a pretty good deal. You could always sell the trailer when you got home and make money. I sent pics of the trailer to you also.
Good luck and keep us posted on the outcome. But I wouldn't wait too long. He says he has two people chomping at the bit to buy it, but he's holding off to see what you want to do. Terry might be able to fill in anything I forgot or left off.
Awesome! I owe by Tulsa recon team big time! I have searched nationwide for a 2014 Limited for 2 months and honed in on a private sale in Tulsa. First, there are very few 2014 Ultra Limiteds out there for sale. Pricing ranges from $20K to 28K with $24,500 being the average asking price by-owner. Dealers are asking in the $26-28K range. One guy wanted $20K but had 22,000 miles on his bike. How anyone can put 22K miles on a 2014 is above my pay grade. So, it looks like Ill own a new to me Harley next week. Ill have it shipped from Tulsa to Phoenix ASAP. Shipping cost with a military discount is $446 and thats a great price. Ill post some pics as soon as I take delivery of the new ride. Could take up to 21 days to arrive but the gal scheduling said probably 10 to 12 days. Im not sure when but Ill put Tulsa on the to-do list. I own a couple of guys a cold one the least. Thanks Danny and Terry. Job well done! Ooraph . . .
Danny pretty much nailed it. The bike has all the bells and whistles, even a drink holder; chrome of course. Push-button adjustable vent on the windshield. Throwing in the enclosed trailer is a nice package deal. If you don't need it, you should be able to unload it and put some cash in your pocket. He also has a 1200 Sporty with a Frankenstein Trike Kit for 16K if anyone is interested. Pretty sweet little ride...
If you still have concerns you could run a Carfax on it as they cover motorcycles also. While Carfax isn't 100% accurate it might show any accidents or records. You might ask on the forum sometimes people have free coupons for Carfax.

Oh, and I took a pic...
Yeah, pretty much a done deal, and with Tulsa's recon team on the ground and giving it two thumb's up I'll sleep well at night until it arrives. I'll pass on the trailer. I'm sure Lee would make someone a sweet deal if they're looking for an enclosed MC trailer. Will post a pic of the new ride as soon as it's delivered.

Did the CarFax thing: Interesting, once you enter the VIN# CarFax will tell you if there's a report or record on file. If so, you pay $39.95, and well worth it to cover your six-oclock. The nice thing about CarFax is if their search shows zero records you don't pay. It's a no brainer... Good suggestion for all.
I don't know the size either, or what he wants for the trailer separate. But it's not tiny at all. He has the wheel chock in the center front of the trailer, but the trailer is big enough that two baggers would easily fit inside it. And it is fairly long. I think there is at least 4' of floor space behind where a touring bike's rear end would be.
Unfortunately, since changing computers, I haven't figured out how to get pics from my cell phone to the computer. So if anyone is interested, PM with a phone number that I can text pics to.
