I have the opportunity to purchase a used PV2 from a friend who used it on his 2014 ultra. I plan on using it on my 2010 ultra.
Fuelmoto says it is married to the original bike and can only be used on the 2010 by purchasing a "Tuner license" for 199. and an adapter cable 25.
Is there any way around this? a computer geek override? hack of some kind...?
199. seems excessive. add the cost of the used unit may as well buy new.
any help appreciated.
Thanks ken
Depending on what your friend wants for the unit will tell you if it is worth it, after figuring what the license and cable will cost you. You will get lots of support from Fuel Moto and this forum if you do it the right way.
There is no way around the license. The tuner is well worth $500. Just buy a new one. You will also have full support for technical issues and maps from Fuel Moto.
