Not so. If it's leaking at the clutch cable a $1 oring is the usual culprit.
2010 Limited with some stuff
Did not know that shop replaced mine on couple bikes but it was under warranty and on one occasion had them install a little longer one since I was planning on doing the bars.

Yep I'll be doing the exact same thing to mine in the morning. Developed a small leak towards the end of riding season last year and just never got around to fixing it. Another thing on that same line to keep in mind, if it's leaking around the adjuster on the cable, the vent tube on the tranny is usually clogged with a dirt dobber nest and the pressure build up causes oil to be pushed into the clutch cable.
Couldn't wait, went to check the trans cover and and exhaust bracket bolts. They all seem tight - had a ball end hex so got enough bite to determine they were not loose.
Got to go over the clutch cable next. Then see if the oil might be leaking from the primary because the red oil is most wet under where the crank is.
Probably take it in to Harley though - I don't have a lift to be able to get at and see things properly. Have extended warranty so I will see if it works.

Yeh let them deal with it's covered under ESP, I used the crap out of my ESP on previous 2 UCs and got part of refunded after I traded em in and sold to private party. Just cashed the refund check for $ 2156 from my previous 2 UCs.
Red Transmission Fluid??? From a Harley?? Hope you're not putting ATF in yours ...
No I checked the trans oil. It is the proper syth. oil and not red stuff.
I am thinking it came from the primary case. It has leaked a few ounces and has now stopped. Took it for a ride this morning and it seems so far the leak has stopped.
Possibilities - a seal has dried out over winter and when I got it running it leaked by has now re-wetted and sealed or;
I don't know enough about the chain case system but maybe it was slightly overfilled at the service just before I shut it down for winter and the excess has come out of a vent.
Have made a service appointment for later this week to check it out.
I chased an oil leak (dripped after a short ride) for quite some time, and it turned out to be an inner primary seal. But since the bike is parked on the jiffy stand, the drips would show up at the outer primary cover. Looked like it could be the drain plug and sometimes it looked liked the outer primary gasket might be leaking, but no, nothing that easy to repair.
