Rush 4 inch slip ons with 1.75 inch baffles have been recommended to me for my 2013 FLHRC. Recommendation came from Nightriders as I have their VIED's on my bike with a decatted head pipe installed. Anyone run these pipes? Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
I had the RUSH slip-ons on a build several years ago - 2009 header pipe - and liked them a lot!
(I just had my bike tuned, and my tuner recommended the 2" baffles as another great choice.)
I liked their look and quality a lot, and the sound was excellent - deep with the 2.25" or greater baffles.
Besides sounding really deep, they also had a great tone.... they would even set-off car alarms in my 103 build.
I just couldn't hear them very well when riding.
The 4" Louie's are great slip ons, good quality and performance, great customer service but best thing in my opinion is how easy the baffles are to change out.
You had to bring this up ..... I've run Rush Exhausts on 5 bikes. On three of them I was very happy. On two of them I had a tinney rattle on decel that drove me crazy. On the first bike with a problem they sent me several sets of baffles over the course of nearly a month before they sent me new mufflers. I would have said they have great customer service but on this last bike they didn't do anything for me. Last thing I heard was "I'm going to check with my Boss and see what I can do" never heard anything more...... I'm running Crusher Mellows now. My $ 400.00 + Big Louies are sitting in a box in my garage and I'm afraid to sell them because I would feel like I might be cheating somebody.
Thats where I'm at on Rush Big Louies....
