Default True Dual Question

I have an 05 Road King with stock head pipes and Samson Rolled Thunder slip ons and PCIII. I like the look of true dual pipes and was wondering if it would make my bike louder?(using the same slip ons that is) Some say there is a loss in low TQ and HP (which does not consern me) and a lot of people say it gives a unique sound. But, it is going to make my bike LOUDER? Just wondering, maybe someone's been here, done this.. Thanks

It does make it a little louder, but it's not bad.

i had stock headers with se2 slipons....went to v&h dresserduals with thunderheaders and wow!the sound is bitchen! nothin else can compare to the true dual system as far as sound goes...you do throw your low end grunt out the window though. but it makes up for it in mid to high range...really sounds good and yes its louder...i got three compliments on the sound the first couple hours after installing them.bike runs cooler too.

Louder. The true stereo sound is more pleasing to the ear. I didn't notice low end loss. Throttle response above 2500 is more crisp and immediate. Engine runs cooler and they look great. Mine are actually a little too loud now for me...I'm gonna' get V&H Ovals to quiet it down some...They may provide a little more back pressure which may increase low end torque. We'll see.

No loss of power for me.As a matter of fact I gained 4 hp and 4lbs of torque. Sounds much better too.I did change the entire exhaust system tho, not just the headpipes. went with the Sampson stepped duals. boy are they loud. sound great tho.
