I have recently purchased a 2011 road glide w/ hard bags and (both sides and top)and was looking into driver back rest. I saw a road glide with the same set up as mine and I noticed the driver had moved his passenger backrest forward still attached to the hard bag an was using that as a back rest.
Has anyone out there done this and if so how?
Thanks for replying Riteway
The picture you sent is exactly what I am looking for.
I take it there is a mounting kit for this?
I am getting ready to run a ship up to Alaska and I am in and out of communication but I will reply to all as soon as I can.
The bracket you need is this one.... http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...326009--1#tabs
A few things to keep in mind
1.Are you already set up for detach as this is a detatchable option.
2.This may NOT clear your seat that you have and you may have to go with a solo seat.
3.If you arnt set up for deatchable and not sure of your seat i would hightly suggest getting an adjustable back rest. That is what i use and im very happy with it...
This is the bracket... http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...59609a--1#tabs

P.S. I love Tahoe...Been many times skiing and such..AND Welcome to HDF!!!!
I had this exact same bracket and pad installed on my '13 RGU when I purchased it. Absolutely love it and especially the fact that you can adjust the angle/pressure of the back rest to your individual needs. I highly recommend it. Can't believe I rode all this years without one.
Welcome to the Forum from Utah.
The response on this site is amazing. A quick shout out to RITEWAY and USRAPTOR for their info and response. I wish I had checked this sight out a while ago. I am coming up on 40 years of riding and my job takes me all over the world and I have found the brotherhood of riders are a tight, have your back group no matter what country I am in. This life is tough enough but to have a group you can constantly rely on can sure smooth out the bumps in the road.
