It's actually a simple project to do. Once I had the parts, it only took me a day of labor to make the swap.
Did you use an aftermarket inner and outer fairing?

Yes, got mine from Amazon. The only issue I had with the aftermarket was that the gauge holes are missing an 1/8" lip on the inside openings, which makes the gauges fit loose. I modified the bracket mounts to sung them up.

I prefer a single color over the two tone options as well...

You are a superior painter and I would do what ever you want to do. You can pull it off.
Buy another paint set and paint it how you want to.

Check out the hot rod flats. Plenty of color options. I bet there is a yellow you would like.

My opinion is a 2 tone would be better on your bike. Lots of real estate and a solid color gets boring.

Another ide........if you really like the chrome yellow. Put a satin or flat clear on top of it. That way you can wax and polish without worrying about messing up the flat. Just an idea

Dude if I could paint my own bike, my only limitation would be what I could pull off within my skill set. Well, money too but I can make more of that. I say go for it. Finish making it into the bike you really want.

2010 Limited with some stuff
