Fugly - Here I come!
A man can only resist for so long....I've always thought the Road Glide looked awesome, and even more so when the Road Glide Custom was launched.
This past weekend, I rode a Road Glide Ultra at the demo event at Thunder in the Rockies. I was hooked.
Trading my CVO Street Glide wasn't an option for a few reasons. First, we're bonded. I love the bike, the things I've added on, and the things that make it mine. Second, it's a great bike - still young with a lot of life. Third, I'd lose my hide on a trade.
So I did what any reasonable Harley owner would do...I ordered everything needed to convert the Street Glide to a Road Glide.
I know it's going to be a long wait for the parts, and even longer for the paint too. I've already talked to Gunslinger Paint, and they're more than suited for the challenge.
Oh, and before all the nay-sayers chime in about "WHY WHY WHY?" and "Why not trade?" - it's my bike, and my money! We're all different and we all like different things.

Shouldn't be a problem! I've read a few threads of members making the switch, but there weren't many step by steps...

I love my new 2012 FLTRU, just took it through the paces in 2000 miles of Colorado, with two trips across Kansas to do it, SAWEET ride!! Should never have ever sat on let alone the buddies, they are addictive.
