Anyone using one? If so, what are your opinion? I'm considering getting one to replace the 4" that came with my SG for everyday use andalso see if can offer adequate protection for those long rides too. I have a corbin dual tour which is about 1" lower than stock so the cumulativeeffect would be about 7". I'd like to keep the look as close to stock as possible but Ihave not ruled out the 8.5" Fastaire if the 6" dosen't cut it. Thanks
I have the 6-1/2†HD dark smoke and really like it. I’ve ridden a SG with the 3-1/2†and it felt like there wasn’t enough height to deflect the bugs and wind off of the fairing. With the 6-1/2, I can see the bug approaching, but before it hits me, the upforce of the air from the fairing and slightly taller windshield makes it go over my head. Much nicer than in my face. I use the standard (12â€) windshield for the winter. It can get down in the teens here in the winter. I’ll put a 9-1/2†on for late fall and early spring. I tried a windshield off of e-bay. It seemed to have a lot of light scratch marks on the surface. I wasn’t impressed with the quality. I’ve never had a problem with the HD… other than the price.
