I run the classic black round/chrome end models from HD for about $ 85.00. These fit nicely inside the crash bars - California allows lane splitting and it's a must in traffic here.
I use the Kury Switchblade pegs. Won them off ebay for half what they were through Kury. Best thing I ever put on. I can flip out the heel rest so that I can change my position or leave them up or I can rest my heels on top of the peg
As a side note. How does that lane splitting work? At least here on the east coast, the lanes are so narrow I don't see how we could do it regularly. I do ride on the shoulder side to pull around people though.
Have always had GREAT luck with Kuryakyn equiptment... Hwy Pegs (Large) very comfortable also use there shifter pegs and Iso Grips (on my last 4 putts) also use there brake pedal pad... That way they all match and flow nicely...
I'm 6'4" and use my hwy brds just like fwd controls I can up & down shift & operate he rear brakes right front pegs (I removed the heal shifter on day 1 allowing a bit more board space) - I can also rest my heal on the board and my toe on the peg - Riding 500+ miles in a day is very enjoyable with this set-up and have done this to my last couple of putts - Now I going to go with floorbrd 3\4" extenders and should be even more comfortable...
