When I had my wheels swapped my new bearings were installed backwards, ABS light stayed on, Indy installed NEW bearings at his expense, ABS light went off, sounds like you have the same problem
Most likely. Problem being i internet ordered the wheel.. and i have a ride planned this weekend and want the new wheel on.. meaning likely 100 bucks out of my pocket for new bearings pressed. thats IF my local stealer stocks the OEM bearings i want to put in it instead of these aftermarket cheapies.

So go on your ride and address the problem later, it won't hurt anything other than the light will remain on and ABS will be inactive.
Take a photo of the wheel - either it has non ABS bearings on both sides or the ABS bearing is installed backwards - if the latter, you only need to pull one bearing. If you take the wheel in, you shouldn't be charged more than .5 hours labor plus a new bearing. Or invest in a bearing puller/installer - they don't cost that much and really pay for themselves the first time you install a set of wheel bearings.
Vendor made it right with me. Credited me the cost of the bearing replacement on my backordered rotors and threw in a t shirt for my troubles. other than the hassle, Southern Motorcycle Works did what they could to do right by me and were very hospitable on the phone. Good on them for sure. The wheel it self is gorgeous, these things happen i guess. I'll just be happy when its on and done.
correct sir. Southern Motorcycle Works Legend 21" wheel. they sell on ebay as well as their personal website www.southern-mc.com heres a pic of it on my bike.
beyond the initial issue they went above their responsibility to make it right and wanted to make me happy however i was most comfortable whether that was shipping the wheel back, shipping me a new bearing or giving me the discount on my rotor order. I chose the latter.
I am happy with both their customer service and the product. things happen. I was initially a little frustrated but the owner and his wife are the customer service dept and they did everything they could to please me.
ah ok - I wondered if those where PM's that one distributor offers as pre assembled/mounted sets but those are their wheels assembled in house - I guess anyone can make a mistake. Did the bearing reinstallation correct your issue?
