Default Cruise Control problem!

GM, The other day I was on my way home from work, had my CC set to about 70 and all of a sudden my bike max accerated. Rolled the throttle back and it did not turn off. Tapped my front break and it finally turned off. Then my check engine light came on and I am getting a P0577 code. I read many post on here as to how to fix it but nothing has worked. I am riding a 2009 Ultra Classic. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks Roy

Have you tried to unplug the ECM connector, clean it, put dielectric grease on the pins and plug it back in? Its just a thought.

Aw man, that really sucks. +1 on what Tirpitz suggests - hope that takes care of it.

This happened to me and of all things it was the sensor switch on the brake pedal that was bad. Replaced that and all was good.

Default Thanks

Thanks guys but I did the test where each switch is tested and all seem to work well. I did remove the seat and checked the connections but nothing was unpluged. Not sure what it is now, I was thinking about checking the wires in the handle bars. I did change them out several months ago.
