Default cruise control problems

I have a 2005 electraglide classic that has been trouble free till lately. About a month ago I was cruising and tried to turn on my cruise control . The red light would come on but it will not turn to green. There are no fuse problems. Anyone have and ideas? You might take a look at the cruise control diagnostic information here:

https://www.hdforums.com/m_104421/tm.htm

It's what you'd find in the HD Electrical Diagnostic Manual for diagnosing a cruise control malfunction.

Hope you get your problem solved.

Lash adjustment might help with your problem.

The light on the rocker switch stays red when turned on. The only green light I have is the green "c" that lights on the tach when I engage the cruise. But, my bike is a 2000 that I've had retrofitted for later year cruise models. I might have something different than you.

Check the spade lug connections on the right side of frame - right in front of gas tank.

+1 on that. That happens to mine a lot. All I need to do is touch them and it works. Guess I should fix it.

The cruise will diagnose itself if you follow the instructions given above.

Thanks, it was the spade connection. Everything works fine now. Darylspan.jajahWrapper { font-size:1em; color:#B11196; text-decoration:underline; } a.jajahLink { color:#000000; text-decoration:none; } span.jajahInLink:hover { background-color:#B11196; }
