i used to freak out when you would get that extra little roll after getting off it. only went forward a little but the thought of it rolling would freak me out. it always catches and stops, just setteling i guess. don't worry about it any more. i just make sure i always shove it all the way forward and i know i'm good and let the stand work the way its supposed to.

Have someone hold the bike up then lower the Jiffy Stand and pull up on it to simulate putting weight on it. You will see what happens, the dog on top goes into the channel so it cannot move forward or back.
Look at the pictures left is towards the front of my bike. 1st picture is jiffy stand up as if your ready to ride, 2nd down ready to put weight on, 3rd and 4th weight on.
