I bought my 2014 FLHTK last September with a stage 1 kit put on (brand new bike). I hear that a stage 1 kit on these will facilitate cooling, meaning, the engine runs a bit cooler than bone stock with this kit. Is there any truth to that?
Reason I ask is because it seems like my EIMTS or whatever it's called (back cylinder cut off during temp threshold) seems to come on pretty quickly; this is faster than the time it took my 2013 FLHTCU's EIMTS to come on.
That's news to me - I greatly appreciate the info and if this is in my owner's manual, then my sincere apologies for wasting your time. I could probably have checked there.
