While I'm a big Roadglide fan, I wouldn't trade a '14SG for a 15 RG. I couldn't find a RG cheap enough when I got my '09 and I don't hate the batwing enough to actually do the RG conversion I keep toying with. You may have more cash you are willing to play with???

Rushmore edition carries the liquid cool features, maybe I am missing something here but my 2014 SGS is not liquid air cooled...

P.S. FYI...14 SGS... all are 'rushmores'. All touring bikes starting in 2014 are all rushmores.
Well my error I was under the assumption that the rushmore edition were liquid cooled engines but I stand corrected. So I guess I have the "Rushmore" edition, lol...

I agree they ride good, but not as good as a Limited with Premium full length shocks...

The batwing doesn't vibrate.

The only difference is where the fairing is mounted, and under the above logic, it could be said that since the frame is carrying all that weight above, and wide, that the Road Glide doesn't handle as well in tight situations.

And that would also be BS.

They're both great bikes, ride what you like, and I guess tell yourself whatever you need to to justify it.
Also all not true. Steering is part of the chassis and a RG is nothing like a batwing in that regard. It's what they do best actually.

I too have had both and my experience is the opposite of yours.

Lighter steering because the fairing is frame mounted.
Balanced better because in tight turns the steering head is not being weighted with 50 pounds of radio, gauges etc to push and pull back and forth in lock to lock situations.
Handles better because fairing.... sportbike-ishy. Long way from a sportbike though. Just sayin.
Weight on the fork IS logically a factor in how light something feels and thus how it responds in action. RG's handle better in tight turns - for me. Like a road king...

My batwing vibrates, especially the windscreen. My RG did too but anyway.

+1 on the Limited Ultra's "ride" way better than any RG or SG but probably the same as a RGU or RGU Limited - we'll soon see maybe.

LOVE my Limited. Love RGs too. Both styles are great. Can't beat the wind protection on a batwing though. It's just one thing they do better.
A RG on the highway.... bliss. No thank you Mr. semi windblast, I'll keep my line like you aren't even there thank you.

Cadillac ride though? RGS? Nah. RG Limited? Probably.

My outlook is you'll spend thousands trading for a RG, and get nothing more than the same bike you have with a different fairing. For less than half that you could upgrade your SGS suspension and have a bike that handles & rides better than any touring bike HD currently offers.

"Project Rushmore", to my knowledge, is the mo****r H-D gave to the revamping of their lineup i.e. one touch saddlebags, etc.. Not all "Rushmore's" are liquid cooled but every '13 - up Touring model is a Rushmore...

AFD,

What made you decide on the CVO instead of adding parts to a RGS?
