Question 2014 RK Handlebar help?

I picked up a new 2014 RoadKing this winter and just started to ride it. The standard handle bars require me to lean forward to us them and my back ends up paying the price. I tried adjusting the seat, but sliding forward results in pain in my hips and knees as it really changes my position on the bike.

I need them about 2-3" closer to me. I tried another bar, but it changed the angle of my wrists.. and was not comfortable. The standard bars shape if fine. I just need them closer to me.

I am about 5'5" tall and think I must have short arms.

Any ideas for different bars?

Thank you!!

You can rotate the stock bars down and back, I did that on mine and it helped alot.

You can geta pair of 2 1/2" pull back risers or Khromewerks stretched heritage bars. You may have to extend cables ,wires and brake lines.

I put the Heriage Style bars on my 2013 RK which are supposedly the same demensions as the 2014 standard bar. After first trying them in line with the forks I ended rolling them back a bit and that was all it took for them to feel right for me.

I would look at the Heli-Bars. I put a set on my 08 RK and love em. They look different. I had the Heritage bars on it for awhile, they were alot more comfortable than the stock. But, after about two years and a different seat and again I was to far back. Heli-bars are perfect and I didn't have to replace any of the lines or wiring.

I had same issue I had the bars changed mine. I don't remember what the brand was (you can search my posts) but it didn't require any cable changed just an extension. Under $300 total at dlr.
