i searched with no results

few times over past few weeks when i take off riding my battery light and check engine light will come on and stay there for about 5-10 min then all is fine.. what could cause it?

battery is brand new and shows good on gauge while riding and does not seem weak o nthe start at all. also the key light stays on all the time when riding... i don't remember my SG doing that and my last RG didn't have the fob is that normal?

any info would be great

 

Download the ECM codes and post up what they are.

 

When my sportster would do that it was always the stator going bad.

 

with the check lights coming on, it should have thrown codes out, as mentioned, download them and show and tell...

 

Same thing happened to Me , You have a bad voltage reg. or stator.

 

i have not had to time to get the codes. been beyond busy lately. thought i would see if others have had similar issues. i will get coded when i can and post them up. i wondered about the voltage regulator, didnt think about the stator
