Default 2007 ultra wont start
My 2007 Ultra turns over but wont start, changed the crank sensor no different. Only code is P1004 system relays contact closed.Dont know what to do.

I have the same bike same problem. Shop is gonna check it out in the morning. I hope its something simple I missed.

Make sure the fuel tank connectors are making good contact. Next, locate the system relay, in the efi fuse block, under the right side frame cover. Pull the relay and clean the contacts, then replace the relay.


Possible problem areas are improper connection at the fuel tank multilock connector, or bad system relay. If your fuel pump is running with the system relay pulled from the circuit, the relay is likely bad.

Eliminate the FuelPak and see what happens.

Also check the main positive and negative battery terminals and also the ground connection on the frame. below and behind the rear cylinder I think.

Time to start lookign at fuses. Does the fuel injection come on when you turn the key, will the bike actually turn over?

I reread and realized it does turn over. Sorry about that. Still look at the system relay as mentioned above and all your connections.
