Default Help

Last fall I installed new tires on my 07 flhrs. I didnt ride it since because of a health issue but now I am ready to ride again. The problem is the bike is now extremly hard to back out of my garage in the morning. Once I ride it a little it backs like it use to until it sits and cools back down. I have tried it in neutral, clutch in or out, checked and cleaned brake pistons to eliminate brake drag, checked belt tension. Everything seems ok. Please tell me what I am overlooking. Maybe wheel bearings? The bearings are smooth so I doubt it but just dont know.

It's the oil on the clutch pack discs that's giving you fits. Try starting the bike and pull in the clutch then give it a couple blips of the throttle to loosen the discs up, then try backing it out.

Would the oil on the clutch make a difference when the transmission is in neutral?

Check your tires air pressure. My back tire over the winter went down to 20 psi. Had a hard time rolling it backwards at first then did the previous ride check over and found it.
