I have had 3 thundermax's. 10, 11 Ultra, and 14 rk. I had to get a newer version for the 14 with Autotune it is a pleasure to drive. I think you can get a gutted 09 headpipe for pretty cheap and they have the bigger bungs in them already. I havn't had to run auto tune since I installed it. Just download the disc to your laptop. Plug it into the TMax and a few clicks and then drive it. It gets better after 2 or 3 short rides. Man it makes my bike run great. Oh, and I got it slightly used from ebay for $400
I installed the ThunderMax along with all the upgrades shown in my signature line as a total package. The autotune gradually zeroed in the settings from a starting point recommended by Frank at Drago's for my set-up.
3 years later, I have not had the need to change a thing, never spent a nickel on dyno tuning, get great gas mileage and the bike runs flawlessly.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
I ran a T-max on my '07 flstf which had a 103 build, cams and etc. I was not thrilled with that tuner- never dialed in even with support from Tmax staff.
The PowerVision seems to be the ticket for me, Fuelmoto support is 1st rate.
I might as well get my two cents in. I've been running the same TMAX AT on my 05 since 2007. It's been used on it as a low comp 98", then a higher comp 98" and now on my 120". I guess I like it.
I've been running a T-Max in my 08 for a couple months and the improvement over my PCV is amazing. It's not too complicated. Bike is definitely running great. I had to modify my V&H dresser duals for clearance of the larger o2 sensors.
