I think this may be it. My TC96--even after PCIII, Rush 1.75's, and K&N--doesn't even begin to sound like my old Evo. It would idle at 850 rpm's with a distinct potato-potato lope, but this new bike at 900 rpm's has no lope at all. I don't think it is the A/F as much as it is the duration of the cams that influences the lope.
That said, I am not in a hurry to do a cam upgrade, as this bike runs so well in its present state of tune that I am reluctant to mess with it. I can live with the less-charismatic idle...for now.
