I'm looking at some handlebar mounted ones but have 1.5" bars so mounts are limited without modifying. Anyone mount to the highway bars? How's the sound?
I had a set of cheap pyles on my last bike that imo weren't that bad for the price.
Had a Pyle 600watt system on my king. It had some very good reviews, tried it and liked it. The smaller speakers did sound distorted at higher volumes, but still nice at cruising speeds.

I have two Polk Audio 4.5" Ultra marine speakers mounted in RK spotlights attached to the crash bar, 4 Polk Audio Ultra marine 5.5" speakers mounted in the bag lids and a 10" RF sub and 2 tweeters mounted in a razor pack! Three 300x2 RF amps, one for the front, one for the bag speakers and one for the Sub! I am away on business, I will post pics tomorrow when I get home. May be overkill but it sounds awesome and was a blast to do the install with a buddy who is very creative! Also very affordable, I purchased most of it for the cost of my buddies head unit on his SG!
I am running Harley Boom Audio but I mounted on engine guard. Sound is fine to my liking except when you are out in the country and it is windy with 110km speed then it is not really good. But I am very pleased with sound quality.
