fork lock not locking

fork lock not locking
I removed my ignition switch to adjust the handlebars on my 05 electra glide. I watched the videos on how to do it an put it back together but the forks won't lock now. The ign switch goes into the locked position an stays locked an down but I can move the forks. What am I missing? I took it out an put it back a few times after watching the vids an still no fork lock. Thanks.

Unfortunately the weakness of on-line stuff is that it doesn't always tell the whole story! There is a simple sliding bolt in the top tree that has to be adjusted just so, covered in your factory service manual!
