103' download for 96'
Just heard from a buddy that dealership was downloading 103 screaming eagle map to the 96 motor. Suppose to richen up the air fuel ratio. Don't know how true this is. Anybody heard of this?

Yep, it is an attempt to cure the pinging associated with some of the 07s. Had it done to mine and while it was a little better it did not cure the problem. EPA regs and heat are the culprit so i am now going for the SERT and dyno tune. Hopefully the tuner will be able to get rid of the EPA parameters and the result will be a cooler running motor.
