This is a great thread. I have PV installed on my 07 RK. Currently using the map downloaded by Jamie according to my current upgrades. I have avoided the autotune feature for fear of screwing my ride up.....it seems to run well, but I do notice I'm averaging about 37mpg (only ride solo, mostly 50-70mph, some city). I don't know if that's high or low compared to others, I'll be doing some full tank highway riding this weekend, and can compare numbers.
I do get a little decel popping, maybe some autotune sessions will eliminate that?
OK, first autotune session completed. Rode about 15 miles, tried to vary RPMs and speed as much as I could. Built the autotune on my canned tune from FuelMoto.
Need to test it out more tomorrow, at first glance it appears I have more decel popping than before the autotune. Performance feels about the same. Hope to do some more tuning and some logging tomorrow.
Thanks, it does seem pretty simple.
Do you guys always modify the original tune or do you modify the one downloaded from Jamie at Fuel Moto?
I used the one from FuelMoto. Either way, you don't lose the tune you're modifying, it creates a modified copy of that tune. If you have 2 tunes on your device now; stock and FuelMoto, you'll have 3 after autotune. It will call the new one "autotune results" or similar.

You can always go over that modified copy, if your not completely happy. Tomorrow I'm going to try it. Various conditions for 50+ miles. See how that goes.
Like stated, you always keep the base tune.
I already emailed a request form to fuel moto for new mapping. Going to hollow out my cat on Tuesday/wednesday
You don't need a different tuning device, you need someone who can properly tune your bike on a dyno.
After F'n with mine for a while, the bike was running good, but not great. Brought it to a local tuner. Best money spent on my bike in a long time! Still running great a year later.
