I have 07 RG. SERT #78 calibration F version with 3.25 open AC, V/H turndown slip-ons. I have ridden it 110mph. It came up very quick to 100 mph, and still pretty strong to 110mph, but the next 10 mph or so felt like they woulda been coming up alot slower. Also rode the bike in stock form the same speed with possibly a bit better acceleration. So for comparisons, It didn't feel like it was petering out till 109-110 ish.
PS. I had more throttle left, but woulda needed alot more road to find out where it was going to end up. Whereas I can bump 100easily coming onto the hiwayat full throttle.
hey guys, dont get me wrong, im no speed demon. im here to cruise. im just testing out a new thundermax and pipes, and have noticed that i lost a little on the top end which was surprising to me. i figured id lose off the line and gain on the top. my experience has been the opposite so far. the bike is still dialing itself in so i am still reserving judgement, but so far i am blown away!!! right now on the top, throttle fully pegged its a slow climb to 90 from 80. i suppose there is another 5 or 10 mph in there. hope it gets a tad zippier up there for passing.
hmm, takes me about a second and a half to get to 90 from 80. hope your thundermax gets dialed in a little better than that.
I rented an '07 Ultra last month in AZ and had it up to 95 a few times 2 up. It was rock solid steady. And so was my wife. I thought she'd be a little nervous, but didn't bother her at all.
After I had broken in my SG, I took it up to 100 mph following a vette and a mustang on the e-way for about 20 miles (no traffic) I was very impressed with how smooth the bike ran, and how comfortable I was running that far at that speed.
My Thundermax got A LOT better in 6th gear roll on after a few cycles. Amazing pull. Using V&H bigshot true duals also. What exhaust are you using? I'd be surprised if yours didn't unleash the beast son...
Had mine up just under a hundred, and thought about how ugly it would be if something was to get in front of me unexpected like.... So I shut her down. Seemed like it had plenty to go, though.
