On my 3rd set of American Elites. Assuming no mechanical issues, 40/42 is perfect.

If you just bought new Dunlops make sure you file for your rebate. No sense turning down $50.

I don't use Dunlops, but I agree the pressures OP is using sound too low to me. Your numbers would be a good starting point for 2-up.

Ya got the rebate already and put it towards a battery for the wifes car

. Mine came really quick too. I did it all online. Made the 80.00 mounting and balancing not hurt so bad .

I went out this morning and checked the pressure and its was low again. I got out my valve stem tool and tightened the valve core almost a full turn. I see nothing else and checked the tire completely so at this point I am going to assume that the tire was leaking and loosing pressure due to the loose valve core. I aired it up to 40 and I hope to get a ride in later and I will keep checking the pressure. When I got up this morning it was 48 here in Michigan . Brrrrr. Not good as its the first of June.
