I have a chance to get a near new Hammock heated seat. My current seat does not have heat. Does anyone know how to do the conversion? Is it more work than it is worth? The conversion will be done to a 2011 Road Glide Ultra. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thanks
Remove your old seat. It requires removing 1 screw. Find your accessory plug. Is in front of the battery. Has 4 wires going to it. Plug the new seat into it. Mount the new seat with the 1 screw you removed before. Now you have toasty buns.
It really is that easy.
Oh yeah. On my Electra, you had to turn the accessory switch on for the seat to work.

Like everyone has said its super easy. Is it worth it? IMHO that would really depend on the deal you got the the seat. I'm on my 3rd bike with factory heated seat and grips and can honestly say I've never used the seat heat. Being in the south I don't get exposed to the low temperatures like you do in the north. Occasionally low 40's. In my mind the heated seat would be at the bottom of the list of behind heated clothing and grips. Just my 2cent worth.
