Hey all, was my first time changing the fluids in my 2015 Ultra Classic Low,
I drained the primary and went to fill it, says 32 oz, I put almost a quart in and it starts spilling out, the bike was on the kick stand for the change, when I took off the derby cover nothing spilled out, when I drained it the fluid stopped coming out and I assumed it was empty. I also thought does this have anything to do with the Low model having a narrower primary cover? thanks

Interesting. The newer models hold 38 oz in the primary and if yours calls for 32 oz, I would think it is due to the narrower primary cover. However, if it doesn't take it all, I would say it wasn't completely drained. I always drain my bikes upright and not on the jiffy stand
When i did my SG i drained it on the jiffy (side) stand and then put a 2X4 under the jiffy stand used the primary funnel and filled it with no issues. Might give that a try.
You must have got a different owners manual than I did, 2015 Ultra Classic Low, page 155 says Primary Capacity is 38oz wet (which is what ours are) and 45oz dry. (which ours are not).
Step 9 says "place motorcycle in an upright position to fill primary chaincase "
I did all three holes last week. Drained on the jiffy stand filled with the bike level. 3qts engine, 28oz transmission and 38oz primary. Rechecked engine hot on jiffy stand and added 4oz more to engine to bring it to "3/4 full".
