But like you learn quick on forums, a lot of times guys post things just to see their names in lights and have no clue what they're talking about. Kinda like dudes with an all stock bike that has jokes for the guy that's got 50 grand in his. Basically trying to have a conversation he can't afford to have on a level he'll never see.
And THEN you have the new guys on the forum, with really thin skin. They're the funniest! LOL!
the worst thing about the touring forum is the newbies.
what color bike should I get?
what jacket should I buy?
look I had a live to ride emblem installed!
I spent $xxx, so I'm a biker!
on the other hand, there are many experienced riders, sharing good knowledge.
And THEN you have the new guys on the forum, with really thin skin. They're the funniest! LOL!
I joined a year after you "Hightower" from Police Academy. So as far as new goes...we're both new. But I understand...I know how u all stock dudes gotta all stick together. No problem.
would be like me driving down the street in my '14 truck and a quarter panel just flies off.
not really a good comparison. one is designed for the owner to remove/reinstall routinely. as such, it is the owners responsibility to make sure the fasteners are secured. if it happened on your way home from taking initial delivery from the dealer, I would point at the dealer.
I took a test drive in a new 1998 Camaro SS. I reached highway speed and the driver side t-top launched off the car. I watched it tumble thru the air in the rear view mirror, hit the road and shatter into tiny pieces. A quick look at the passenger side and I saw that the tops had not been latched down before they put me in the car. Luckily it didn't kill someone behind me. Went right back to the dealer, told them what happened, they said "sorry", put a top on from another car, and sent me on my way.
If that had happened a month after I bought the car I'm sure it would have been my own fault.
And as for u Peanut Butter and Jelly or Perfect Blow Job or whatever PJB means...I didn't mean it literally. U guys are clowns. It's ridiculous how u guys get all mouthy on a forum or think for one second cuz you've been on this thing for a certain amount of time that you're special in any way. Funny. Same dudes standing by yourselves at a party u heard about and weren't invited to but were there. Sad. Ur right. U guys are so much more experienced and knowledgeable.

To anybody still paying attention to the original subject:
Check your fasteners and make sure they "snap" into the locked position with the required tension to hold them locked. If you don't have the tension, use washers to get the proper tension. Maybe Harley failed on this from the factory on the new models.
To the newbie that put $50k into his first bike:
your "cool". Happy?
Now simmer down. lol
who are the guys with "stock" bikes he is referring to?
maybe that's how they act on his Porsche forum.
Or to any of u guys who actually have experience on the subject please chime in and help us keep our community aware of this possibility...otherwise just read and learn. I'm just not the one that's gonna put up with ur bullying. Ur tenure here doesn't mean jack to me. And u can see me when u wanna see me. I'm in Atlanta and everybody knows me. So I'm not hard to find. U bullys don't intimidate me. To me it's a sign of weakness and deeper issues. Now shoo.

When you have it you can spend it...when you don't, you can't.
