A friend and I took our Bikes over to Reno for Street Vibrations Spring Rally.
The high light of our day was that we got rained on twice before we got back
to his house, we had a beer and waited out the rain. It hailed, it rained, and
we had some thunder. I live about 5 blocks from my buddies house, so
when the rain stopped I headed for home. I traveled exactly 1 block and the
sky opened up once more, boy am I glad these Rushmores are water proof.
The only dry spot was were I was setting when I arrived home.
Street vibrations Spring Rally was not all that great, unless you needed a Tee
Shirt, or some Sun Glasses, a patch or some Jewelry. Beer vendors can't sell
beer until after 12 noon, and no one selling Bike parts, like J&P cycles, no one
changing tires, or even selling tires. No Kuryakyn stuff any where to be seen.
There were Bikes for sale, Ron Simms from Hayward California was there with
his big semi truck and a bunch of cool customs sitting there for sale.
"No Kuryakyn stuff any where to be seen."
And that's a bad thing??
it's only a bad thing if you like rust. Everything but their grips suck. Bolts, screws, caps, edges of chrome.. everything rusts within a very short time frame.
Anyone want a Mach II A/C? Was told by my tuner, best A/C there is out there. Been on bike for literally 2 months and all 5 allen bolts that hold outside cover on are rusted.

Weather has been a bit odd of late. It goes from 80s one day to 60 two days later & the clouds can rain on one side of the street & the other is dry. Ill head up to Virginia City in the morning if the weather holds up. Im not riding Geiger Grade in the rain.
Road Shows is the Company that puts on SV's in the Spring & Fall. I was downtown Reno today & it was sparse for sure. Missing was V&H, Drag, Kury, J&P & Ness trucks. Maybe they are down at Carson City HD... Ill find out tomorrow.
Was thinking of riding down but couldn't take the time off from work, not so dissapointed now. And not to hijack the thread but Road Shows also does the motorcycle event in Ocean Shores Wa, anybody ever been to that one, is it any good? Was thinking of going in July.
I've gone the last 3 years, and it seems to be loosing interest the past two years. There was talk of starting the fall event a week or two earlier. Last year we hit snow (very light) going over the pass.
