How does one get the forum discount at Freedom Shields... I'm getting ready to order a new shield from them for the '15 RGS.

Thanks!

The light tint is all you need, cuts glare but can still see through it. Mine is an 18", not 16". I pulled the original order. I am 6' and it works great and is lower than the stock H-D. I ordered the light tint and by buddy ordered the dark tint. The light tint is better. My friend had to cut his dark tint down 2" to make it safe to ride. If you go dark tint, get a lower shield. If he orders again, he is 6'1", he will order the 18" light tint elite.

From LRS in answer to my questions:
Another piece of important info is that our shields are 1/2" shorter than what we say they are. Our 16 is really 15 1/2", our 18 is really 17 1/2", etc. The top of the shield should be level with between the tip of your nose and mouth. You want to be looking over the shield by just a couple of inches. Be sure it's not lower than mouth level.

Well, I have a way to make it a lot easier to decide. Our Elite polycarbonate does not come in medium tint. Just Clear, light or dark. Here are the light and dark tints.

My current Shield is 16in It hits me right at the nose and mouth, can see over it just fine, esp if I sit up straight. Im 6ft 3in but have a really low slung seat.. So I think Im gonna order the dark 16in. It might not look as good with my bars but I dont want to have to be looking thru it.

Ended up buying 2 from LRS. Dark tint 16" and a medium tint 22". Like em both, great product and service!
Pics are of the short 16" Dark tint, haven't taken pics of 22" medium tint yet...
