I'm in the same boat. I recently bought an 09 RKC w/o ABS. I wanted ABS when I was shopping for the bike, but I grabbed this one because it was a pretty good deal. However, the no ABS thing is really bothering me. So I'm putting it on Craiglist today.

Now THIS is good information.. show stopper.

Besides this Im thinking less than $1k if you do it yourself based only on initial research. $1k would be worth it to me because I just bought the bike.

I did a quick check of parts on an OEM Parts Finder. Brake lines, controller, modulator, wheel speed sensors, & spacers = $1367.00 Then add 2 ABS wheel bearings and all the wiring harnesses on the bike are different for ABS vs Non ABS. As some have mentioned already, it's easier and more cost efficient to buy another bike.
