I'm assuming he looks at it like buying a car and having the ABS or airbags removed. Most people don't get the point since all they do is improve safety. I'm not sure I understand either, but my opinion doesn't mean squadoosh. Good luck.
Popping the ABS fuse is much easier solution...... what's the point of removing it? You'll hurt the bikes resell value big time.
I don't want it and don't need the excess of it I guess, and don't care about the resale value.. Plus it's harder to find some things for the abs bikes without spending an arm and a leg so I'd rather just get rid of it

No no, no war here I just didn't know what you meant. I have rode long enough without abs and like my previous quote explains I'm on a serious budget and abs compatible stuff is expensive, not to mention you have to have the dealer bleed the breaks to be certain and **** that, I don't spend one dollar in a stealership. Some people bitch about me stripping down an Ultra, but it was the best bike when I traded my slop tail in and I like to keep my bikes simple is all. I like to have a nice stereo, of course more power, and some cool looks. I don't need all that other crap

Yea I gotcha, I just don't find it necessary and if I could've gotten a bike without I would've, just trying to remedy what I like with what I've got. Know what I'm sayin

I get it to a certain degree. I'm not trying to argue with you, certainly your bike. We have also had cars without air bags, abs, seatbelts, etc, all expensive stuff, but at the same time, deaths per mile driven have been reduced dramatically since we've had these innovations.
I speculate the percentage of people who think they can threshold brake in bad conditions under emergency circumstances without ABS is about 35-40%.
In reality, its probably .01 percent.
You're a biker, and I worry about bikers, what can I say? Ride safe, brother!
