air shocks

anyone experience difficuty adding air to the the suspension on a 01 road king? Valve stems to short for air pump.

Harley says you need their pump to add air. On that note my air chuck fits it OK.

I had the same problem with my 99 RK.Bought a pump on ebay and it would not work.Finnally got a HD pump and no problems.

I'd bet you have a passenger backrest. With that option the valve gets relocated to the left rear saddlebag bracket, which is four times thicker than the original location. The result is the valve is very short. The HD air pump will work as suggested above and also has a feature that most bicycle pumps don't and that is the virtual no loss of air while disconnecting.
