Default air pump

Just got my roadking last week. After putting air in my rear shocks using the harley pump I tried to let some air out. I pushed on the black button and thought that would release air.Nothing happened .Anyone know how this works.Thx for any help.

There is so little air in the shocks that I don't think you will ever hear the "pfffft" when releasing the air. That's a reason to use the HD shock pump and not a normal bicycle pump or a gas station pump as they can blow out the shocks.

When you depress the valve, try bringing it out slightly to release some of the air pressure. Do it gradually and if it behaves like mine, you will find a spot where the air is released.

Sometimes you actually have to grind down the fitting a bit as the valve releases all the air before youcan get the valve off .

Mess with the button a little bit. Mine will release air with about a half way push of the button.

If you buy the cheaper Pricepoint air pump they're talking about in the other thread, you just push the bleed button and watch the air pressure gage go down.

It is designed this way because there is so little air in the shock. keep pressing the valve in and out until desired pressure is reached. My harley pump works the same.
