I agree with Keith above. I mount mine low and keep my heel on the boards and toes on the pegs.

These bolt up real nice. Very sturdy. Versatile settings. The footpads can be adjusted, too.

I went with these pegs . . .

I have a 29" inseam and use the short angled mounts....

Actually traded a guy my long angled mounts because they were too close.

I am 5'8" 31 inseam. I like the longer arms. I have mine set up just a few inches from my boards so I can use the highway pegs themselves, or like someone mentioned keep my heels on the boards. Gives you multiple choices.

Sory. Forgot the pic!

I mounted mine on the crash bars and have adjusted them a few times to where they are comfortable for me on long trips. I'm running the Willie G pegs from Harley, nothing special.

We just had someone call in asking about this thread earlier today.

Here's a pic of a good Highway Peg with Heel Rest that can be adjusted a multitude of ways, including close to the floorboard...just use the toe on the heel rest, or put the entire foot on the highway peg. Can't beat it for comfort.

LINK to a selection of adjustable mounts.
