Default compensator trouble

got a 2012 streetglide had compensator replaced last fall , started getting loud bang at hot startup. was wondering if there is anything out there better than the screaming eagle comp. been hearing a little about baker compensators anybody have any experience with those,,

Baker supposed to be the way to go. Time will tell, but initial trials have resulted in good reviews.

well I think I will go with a baker comp. gonna try to do the install myself . hope everything goes smooth . thanks

Might as well put a Baker manual tensioner while you're at it!

Let us know how the install goes ... I may be doing the same .... my bike is down with a bad IPB .... since its gonna be apart anyway ... good luck !!!

Default mines in shop now having same thing fixed

my 2010 is having a SE comp and SE clutch spring put on with a new clutch hub. Also had to have manual compression releases put on the jugs. I have a S&S 551 cam in my list of mods with no compression release (I cheaped out got them without it). mine sounded like a bag of nails dragging a wash board also on hot start ups after only 35,000miles. Hopefully I do not experience the same result get mine back tomorrow. Hope you get your prob resolved!!
