Hey hopefully I'm posting this in the right spot.
Currently running the big sucker 2 on my 2012 street glide with SE street cannons and a power vision 1 tuner. The big sucker 2 seems good but I honestly hate the look. Does anyone know if I can use the same backplate from the 2 and just order a bigsucker 1 filter? Then would look for a nice cover like RSD.
Also unless I'm mistaken with the bug sucker 1- a lot of the covers out there (rsd, arlen ness, SE) will fit a big sucker 1 but definitely not a big sucker 2?
Your thoughts?
Thx!
I had a big sucker 2 on my 00 sportster and converted it to a big sucker 1 ..I didn't like the 2 because it stuck out way far and my leg had to bow to get around it...if I remember right I had to replace the cover also because the 1 is not as wide as the 2...there are lots of covers for them, just measure how wide it is and buy one with a hole in the middle...it seems to me that the filter was pretty expensive though...like $50-$60... you may be able to go to the K&n filter site and just buy a filter the size you need...

Thanks for the feedback! I've been looking at the wire mesh look Bigsucker 1. Do you know if K&N has those instead of the red look?
And did you use the same back plate and bolts etc just changed the filter to go from a 2 to a 1?
yes, I used the same back plate, never even had to take it off the bike, but needed and new cover for it ....But, remember the bike I put it on was a sportster, it looks the same as the one on my roadking, but i never checked to make sure....
