Default Possible New Bike

OK So I am looking at a new RGS the dealer is making me a really good deal on my CVO and I am really liking the RGS. On the CVO I did the 30/60/30 method to break it is and that worked our pretty darn good. What I did not do ( because I did not know how) is heat cycling it.

Should I run heat cycles on it then do the 30/60/30 method or just arm it up and dod the 30/60/30 again and call it a day?

Do whatever ya ya feel comfortable with. I really don't think break-in procedures are that big a deal anymore. Tolerances, metals and design are much better today than in the "old" days.

Heat cycles are done before the engine is mated to the frame.

I believe the engine is "broke" before the first 20 miles are done.

Go to York, and see what they do to them straight off the line...

I agree with SafetyMan. I was at York,Pa a couple of weeks ago. I bike is broken in right there. I feel the break-in period is overrated unless you get a new motor.

Agree with what's been said already.

Although I did stay under 3k for the first 500 miles (mostly).
