2009 Roadking odometer question
I am adding a 09 RKC to my collection. I want to install a HD Speedo/tach and I want to know if the odometer reading remains the same. I have a Dakata digital on my Dyna, have to program the odometer before use. Do you guys have the part number for the HD speedometer? Thanks Alex

So the odometer record is locked to ecm, am I correct? The reason I asked, I have been running a Dakota Digital on my 07 Dyna for a while, when I plug my factory speedometer, it still read the same mileage when I removed it.

I'm not sure if the mileage is locked to the ecm per se, but the speedo/tach combo reads off the ecm, then it locks/marries to your bike, so at that point you're good to go.

Used to be that you had to get the mileage documented by a Dealer, then the Dealer would send info to HD, HD would send a speedometer with the documented mileage back to Dealer for install.
I don't know what year HD started having the ECM record the mileage? (sometime in the mid 200-s I think?)
