Default Oil light
Just completed upgrade with SE oil pump kit... Pretty sure everything was done correct..., any clues on why oil pressure Light won't go off. Ran for a sec but afraid oil is not pumping. Help

When I did my oil pump the light stayed on for a few minutes after I started it for the first time. Hasn't came back on since. 10+ miles ago.

I am afraid to let it run to long with the light on..., how long did u let it run

Was the light on before you did the pump? What else did you do when you changed the oil pump?

It shouldn't take more than 30 seconds & that won't hurt anything, but it's best to take the plugs put & turn it over for 10-15 sec at a time 2 or 3 times.

Default Oil light
Installed SE oil pump kit..., bike was blowing oil out of breather..., cam tensor. Broke and clogged oil pump.

Pull the plug wires and run the starter a few times.

Default Oil light
Removed the o ring from Between the cam plate and oil pump...., not used on SE oil pump kit. Only used when using original oil pump.. Next need to replace push rod o rings...., snapped on in half installing o rings. Should be old for Sturgis now
